Okay, I'm embarrassed. Our new house really isn't that fancy. It's one of the more basic one's in the neighborhood. It does not back up to the golf course & it's off of a busier road. The floorplan was the best option for us. Within a close proximity, there were 3 other established homes with that same floorplan. (actually 4 but one was a trashed HUD home)
We picked this one because it had better "roots" than the others & we liked the owners. We paid a bit more but we still got a deal. I feel really bad for the owners that the market is so bad. We would have lost our shirts on our home in Kansas had we not finished most of the basement ourselves or contracted the important parts out. At least the market is not nearly as bad as the east & west coasts!!!

The house looks so nice!! It is a bad time to be selling, but at least you were able to do okay with the house that you are selling. That is good!! It will be nice to get all settled into your new place.

Uh...your "basic" house still looks like a palace to some of us folks. You've got great taste and good fortune smiling down on you! We're very happy for you guys. :)
