Faint of Heart Beware!!!

Yesterday I couldn't take it anymore. It's my fault; when we were putting things away I didn't feel like unpacking more boxes to find the bins that stored everything so neatly before. Look what happens when nothing has a designated "home" ... caos I like to call my bathroom.
Okay, these pictures were taken after I started pulling stuff from the cabinets. It didn't start off this messy. However don't let me deceive you it was not much better. I told you faint of heart to beware. We are slobs!
After scrubbing, unpacking 2 large boxes from over a year ago & organizing we have a clean bathroom.
Now I can decorate it. What to do ... hmnnn I think I'll start by painting the cabinets & doing something with that big ol' mirror.
Yes, there are shoes in a pile in the closet (don't have a storage solution there yet). I know, my clothes are sorted by color. That's how I get dressed saves me time If I know where to look for a particular shirt. Focus on the bathroom people :)

Good Morning to You Too

Most of you may think this is just a picture of my hallway. Look closer do you see something that might have woken us up waaay before the crack of dawn this morning?

The chair you say?

No, getting warmer ...
....
.....
Give up?

Okay, it was that tiny smoke detector you see at the top of this picture. I guess it needed a fresh set of back-up batteries or something & it needed us to know. Good thing B had to wake up early to go to work anyway (yes, he has to work this Saturday again & some tomorrow too). The chair was the ladder. I love our counter high kitchen table. Those chairs come in very handy.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank you!!!

Thank you Grandma Nora for the square angel food cake pan & thank you Lisa for giving me the excuse to use it.
When my Grandma Nora passed away I inherited this amazing square angel food cake pan. I squealed for joy, seriously it was kind of embarrassing.
Lisa invited us over for dinner & gave us the task of bringing dessert. I experimented with a lemon trifle recipe turning it into a layered angel food cake. Next time I'll make a couple minor modifications to perfect the recipe, but it turned out pretty well. Makes my mouth water just thinking of it. Enjoy the pics

Mini Vacation

So after that last little teaser I thought I'd post a real update on our mini vacation down to Houston & Galveston.
We had a blast visiting family down there. Cocoa misses all the attention she received! We went to the Houston space museum & Stewart Beach in Galveston. Logan & Amy made a rocket with their kids & launched it off in a parking lot down the street from Mom & Dad's house. Logan needed some shades so I lent him mine. He rocked them like no other! Enjoy some pictures.

Back from the beach ...

Can you tell where he put sunscreen on & where he didn't?
